At Allens the emphasis is on quality advice and work, not 'billable hours'. Our young lawyers are encouraged to take the time to learn and develop the skills needed to analyse legal problems and provide accurate commercial advice.
Law graduates spend their first year with the firm in a single practice group and then rotate through different
practice groups annually over a two-year period before specialisation. This will allow you to gain extensive first-hand experience in two areas of interest to help you decide
which area of the firm you would like to work in on a longer term basis.
We believe that a longer rotation provides a comprehensive, rather than a superficial, knowledge of each practice area and gives graduates an opportunity to develop strong relationships with their supervising
partner and other lawyers in the practice group. The size of the firm means we are very flexible in making sure our lawyers get to work in areas that most interest them.
To be eligible for a graduate position with Allens Arthur Robinson, you must
have the right to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis.
The firm currently remains a signatory to the Law Society of Western
Australia graduate recruitment guidelines. The dates below reflect these
guidelines.

Applications for a graduate position in 2009 are now closed.
Allens provides an in-house practical legal training program for our graduates. The course was designed by the College of Law in New South Wales, but is specifically tailored to Allens Arthur Robinson and the type of work that our firm does
and results in reciprocal admission for our Western Australia graduates. The program consists primarily of online training, but includes face-to-face components. For more information on the PLT
