Dr Gaby Dabscheck, recipient of the latest Fellowship, learns on the job to develop his skills in the specialty area of paediatric neurology and to provide the highest possible standard of care to children with neurological conditions from all around NSW and beyond.
This means that Gaby sees patients like Makayla, who had her first epileptic fit when she was just five years old. Now eight, she continues to take medication and the hospital monitors her condition through regular check-ups.
The team of neurology staff have done everything they can to explain Makayla's epilepsy to us, even though there are still many unknowns surrounding the condition. I've never walked out of the Hospital feeling uncertain or unsure.![]()
