Chris has practised in the areas of commercial property, planning and environmental law for more than 30 years.
He has assisted in obtaining relevant environmental and planning approvals and has advised numerous manufacturing, resource and energy companies, especially in the area of renewables, on planning appeals, rezoning hearings, environmental impact assessments and EPBC approvals.
Chris is the relationship partner for Melbourne Water Corporation and in that capacity has provided advice in relation to a broad range of issues including the setting of rates, the creation of drainage schemes, VCAT appeals, the Sugarloaf pipeline project, the proposed desalination plant and a range of property matters as well.
He has acted for Shell for more than 25 years in relation to its network of Victorian retail sites, including on a complete range of property, planning and environmental issues.
Other clients that Chris regularly works with are Acciona, Ford, OneSteel, Orica and Rio Tinto.
In addition, he has expertise in the planning and environmental issues that arise in the context of dealings in property, including advice in respect of rezoning, planning permits and all aspects of land contamination.
