Allens Arthur Robinson's Asia leader relocates to Hong Kong

20 November 2007

Allens Arthur Robinson has announced the firm's Asian Executive Partner, Jim Dunstan, will relocate from Australia to Hong Kong.

Mr Dunstan is responsible for the firm's nine offices located in six Asian countries, reporting to Managing Partner Michael Rose.

Mr Rose said: 'The addition of two new offices in Vietnam, our new joint law venture with TSMP in Singapore, the appointment of new partners and the arrival of new lawyers have greatly expanded the scope of our Asian practice and allowed us to build client relationships and secure significant new work.

'As our firm grows in Asia the task of leading a international network is becoming more demanding and it makes sense for the Asia Executive Partner to be located in Asia. From there, he will work with our Asia practice group leaders, Nigel Papi and Gavin MacLaren, and the other Asia partners, on the continued growth of our international business.'

Senior Associate Martin Irwin and Lawyer Caroline Chan will also relocate to Hong Kong, deepening the firm's finance and infrastructure skills in the region.

Mr Dunstan will relocate from Sydney to Hong Kong early next year.
