Allens acts for MAp on A$1.6 billion asset swap
21 July 2011
Allens Arthur Robinson (Allens) is acting as Australian legal counsel for MAp Airports (MAp) on the sale of its interests in Brussels and Copenhagen airports in return for acquiring Ontario Teachers Pension Plan's (OTPP) interests in Sydney Airport and a balancing payment of approximately A$790 million.
The Allens team is led by Partners Stuart McCulloch, Susan Burns and Julian Donnan, with Senior Associates Georgina Perry, Alex Borda and Caitlin Gill and Lawyer Jonathan Dillon assisting.
Allens is working alongside MAp's financial advisers, UBS and Macquarie.
Ms Burns, who is Allens' Relationship Partner for MAp, said: 'The complex nature of the asset swap which involved MAp disposing of its joint venture interests in multiple European jurisdictions and increasing its stake in Sydney presented some unique legal challenges and was an excellent opportunity to work closely again with MAp's management team and financial advisers, UBS and Macquarie.'
