Allens Arthur Robinson picks up another Client Choice award

21 September 2006

The International Law Office (ILO) has announced that Allens Arthur Robinson is the recipient of the 2006 Australian Client Choice Award.

In presenting the award, the ILO said:

The criteria for the awards focus on law firms' ability to add real value to their clients' business above and beyond the other players in the market. The firms were assessed on the following criteria: quality of legal advice; value for money; commercial awareness; effective communication; billing transparency; tailored fee structures; depth of team; response time; sharing of expertise; and use of technology.

The finalists for the Australian award were AAR, Clayton Utz, Freehills and Mallesons Stephen Jaques.

The award was received by Partner Fred Chilton on behalf of the firm at a ceremony in Chicago.

'We're gratified to receive this type of international recognition, particularly when it is based on client feedback,' said Jim Thynne, AAR Chairman.

'This is further testament to our dedication to client service and the provision of the most appropriate advice to our clients. All thanks to our clients for taking the time to give their feedback.

'Having also been named the 2006 BRW-St George Client Choice Best Large Law Firm and Best Overall Professional Services Firm, we will strive to continue to improve on the standards which are recognised by these awards,' Mr Thynne said.

According to the ILO, the awards were decided after over 1,000 corporate counsel provided individual assessments of law firms they had worked with in the past 18 months.
