Allens advises DEXUS Property Group on two major transactions
23 August 2012
Allens has advised DEXUS Property Group, one of Australia's largest diversified property groups with $13 billion of assets under management, on two major transactions.
These transactions are in line with the Group's vision to be globally recognised as the leading real estate company in Australia.
In the first transaction, Allens advised DEXUS on a new capital partnership with one of the largest institutional pension funds in the world, to co-invest in a selection of DEXUS's major Australian industrial property projects, in a partnership worth $360 million with the potential to grow in the future.
In the second matter, Allens acted for DEXUS in relation to its purchase of the thirteen-storey office building at 50 Carrington Street, Sydney from Retail Employees Superannuation Trust for more than $58 million.
According to Partner Mark Stubbings, who led the Allens team on the purchase and co-led the team with Nigel Papi on the industrial partnership, Allens has been working with DEXUS since 1998, and regularly advises the property group on a range of major developments and strategic matters.
'Allens is pleased to have worked once again with the DEXUS team to successfully deliver these significant outcomes,' Mr Stubbings said.
'DEXUS is a long-standing client of ours and we look forward to continuing this relationship in the future.' Client DEXUS Property Group
