Allens has advised German headquartered global technology company the Freudenberg Group on its acquisition of Australian company Ludowici Sealing Solutions.

The acquisition will see Freudenberg take over Australia's market leader in the distribution of hydraulic and pneumatic seals as part of a plan to widen the company's global distribution network for industrial and automotive sealing products.

The Allens team on the matter was led by Partner Mark Malinas and Senior Associate Amanda Hicks-McLean.

Mark said the cross-border deal was an important one.

'Freudenberg is a new client for the firm and so we were very happy to be able to work alongside the company to achieve an important strategic result for them,' he said.

'One of the great advantages we had on the deal was the involvement of Thomas Wallrich who speaks fluent German, which helped enormously with engaging the client on the matter.'
