Allens Arthur Robinson farewells partner

Allens Arthur Robinson (AAR) today announced that Partner Jon North will retire from the firm on 31 December 2006, taking up a position as an executive director of Gresham Advisory Partners.
Tom Poulton, AAR Managing Partner, said: 'Jon North is a fine lawyer. We will miss him. We are indebted to him for his significant contribution to our firm since first joining us in 1988 - especially in the M&A and Capital Markets areas. We look forward to working with him in the future as a very valued AAR alumnus.'
Jon joined AAR in 1988 and was elected to the partnership in 1996. He has also worked at Slaughter and May and Bankers Trust.
Jon North said: 'I have enjoyed leading the ECM team at Allens. I am now looking forward to joining a dynamic team at Gresham and the challenge of investment banking.'
Until his retirement Jon will acquaint existing partners in our top-ranked Corporate & Commercial team with relevant client matters.
