Our trade mark enforcement team are highly experienced in getting the right result for you, whether what's needed is an injunction before the Federal Court, an opposition before the Trade Marks Office or the development of a national anti-counterfeiting strategy.

We advise daily on all manner of trade mark disputes, together with the related rights of copyright, passing off and on breach of section 52 of the Trade Practices Act.

Recent experience

Here's some work we've been doing in trade mark enforcement recently:

• Anti-piracy campaigns
  We work closely with Federal and state police in one of the biggest and most successful Australian anti-piracy campaigns ever. We also work with other clients across a range of industries to prepare and implement anti-counterfeiting strategies.

• Trade mark and copyright enforcement
  We continue to be involved in advertising clearance, trade mark and copyright enforcement advice for clients across various industries, and represent them in Federal Court proceedings.

• Landmark trade mark disputes
  We have been involved in landmark cases, including the test case in the High Court on shape trade marks, and settling a long-standing media trade marks dispute for the publisher of a Hong Kong magazine.

• Copyright infringement
  We acted for Hong Kong's leading publisher of diaries and gazettes in copyright infringement actions against major international corporations. Our client won.
