Advised AMP Capital as the successful project sponsor on the hand-back
of the Emergency Alerting System PPP Project to the Victorian State
Government. This is a first of its kind transaction for Australia.
Defence Single Living Environment and accommodation precinct PPP (Phases 1
and 2)
Advised Plenary Group as the successful project sponsor for the single
living environment and accommodation precinct PPP (LEAP Phase 1 and Phase 2)
– a Commonwealth Department of Defence project to deliver defence force
accommodation on 14 military bases across Australia. LEAP 2 currently stands
as the largest Commonwealth PPP project.
New Royal Adelaide Hospital PPP
Acted for the financiers to the SA Health Partnership consortium on the
A$1.85 billion new Royal Adelaide Hospital PPP – the single largest
infrastructure project in South Australia's history.
Gold Coast Rapid Transit PPP
Acted for the winning GoldLinQ consortium on its bid to finance,
design, build, operate and maintain the A$1 billion Gold Coast Rapid Transit
PPP, a 13-kilometre light rail network and associated infrastructure. This
is one of Australia's first public transport PPP projects.
Eastern Goldfields Prison PPP
Advised Honeywell as a member of a bidding consortium to design, build,
operate and maintain the Eastern Goldfields Prison PPP in Western Australia.
Wiri Men's Prison PPP
Acted for the financiers to the winning SecureFuture consortium on its
bid to build, operate and maintain the $840 million Wiri Men's Prison, the
first major PPP delivered in New Zealand.
Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre PPP
Advised Honeywell, as the facilities management contractor, on its
winning bid for the A$1 billion VCCC PPP.
South West Rail Link
Advised Transport Construction Authority (NSW) on all aspects of the
A$1.3 billion South West Rail Link extension.
Sydney Desalination Plant
Acted for the winning consortium comprising the Ontario Teachers'
Pension Plan Board, Hastings Managed Infrastructure Funds Utilities Trust of
Australia and The Infrastructure Fund on its binding offer to refinance the
Sydney Desalination Plant for A$2.3 million. This is one of the largest
operating desalination plants in the world.
Port of Brisbane
Acted for the winning QPH Consortium, comprising four of the largest
infrastructure investors in the world, on its A$2.3 billion bid for the
99-year lease of the Port of Brisbane.
Port Botany
Advising a consortium led by QIC Global Infrastructure and Canadian
Pension Plan Investment Board in relation to its proposed bid for Port
Botany and Port Kembla which are being privatised by the NSW Government.
Oakajee Port and Rail
Acted for the West Australian Government on the development of the A$6
billion Oakajee Deep Water Port and Rail Project and the related Karara to
Tilley Rail Project.
Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal
Advised the lenders on the financing of Queensland's first user-funded
coal terminal (valued at almost A$3 billion).
Queensland Wireless Network
Advised the Queensland Government on the roll-out and provision of a
State-wide digital radio network for use initially by Queensland's emergency
services agencies.
