Privacy

Your personal information is being collected by Allens (ABN 47 702 595 758) or one of its related entities in Australia (together, Allens). Allens collects the personal information you have provided (including your name, contact details, educational qualifications, working history and other details set out in your curriculum vitae) and any other personal information it needs to consider your application and, if your application is successful, to allow you to participate in our summer clerkship program. As part of that consideration process, your personal information may be shared between Allens and its related entities, whether within or outside Australia. Your personal information may also be shared with our alliance partner, Linklaters, whose offices are located outside Australia, including in the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore. We may also collect personal information about you from third parties, including from recruitment agencies and from any referees that you provide. The collection of some of your personal information may be required under applicable employment, superannuation and taxation laws.

Your personal information may also be shared with any agency through which you have applied and any referee. As part of the recruitment process, candidate data may be shared with or stored on our behalf by our third party service providers, including our technology suppliers and the operators of any online platforms through which you may have submitted your application.

If you choose not to provide your personal information to us, we may not be able to consider your application.

Subject to any duty of confidentiality we owe to a referee, you have the right to access most personal information about you collected by Allens. A request for access may be denied in certain circumstances, and if this occurs, you will be told why.
