Alf leads the firm's Australian and international restructuring and insolvency practice. He offers clients more than 28 years' experience in all aspects of restructuring, insolvency and commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
Alf acts across the range of insolvency administrations, including receiverships, administrations, liquidations and schemes of arrangement. He regularly works alongside ANZ, CBA, NAB, Suncorp, Westpac and various other financiers and fund managers. He also regularly works with leading insolvency practitioners from BDO, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Ferrier Hodgson, Grant Thornton, KPMG, McGrath Nicol and PPB.

- the Network Ten restructure;
- the Careers Australia collapse;
- Kleenmaid; and
- the City Pacific Limited collapse.
Alf regularly advises on commercial litigation and dispute resolution, and has extensive experience in all levels of State and Federal Courts, including appellate courts, the High Court and numerous other courts and tribunals, including the Land Court and the Australian Competition Tribunal.
He is regularly briefed by many of Australia's leading corporate and government entities. In addition to banks and financiers, Alf's disputes work extends to BHP Billiton, ENERGEX, Ergon, John Deere Limited, Port of Brisbane Corporation, the Queensland Government, Queensland Investment Corporation and Rio Tinto.
Alf is regularly named as a leading lawyer in both insolvency and litigation, including being ranked in Chambers Global as one of the world's leading lawyers in each year from 2006 to present and in the 2009 to current edition of Best Lawyers in Australia published by the Australian Financial Review for both litigation and insolvency.
