Allens has been recognised as the Australian Deal Team of the Year at the Australasian Law Awards held in Sydney last night. It is Allens' second consecutive win in this category.
Three major transactions on which Allens had roles were also recognised with specialist deal awards:
- Property, Infrastructure Deal of the Year, for the Melbourne Metro project;
- Equity Deal of the Year, for the Yancoal Capital Raising; and
- M&A Deal of the Year, for Yancoal's acquisition of Coal & Allied.
Guy Alexander, Corporate Practice Group head at Allens, said the awards showcase the range of transactions across the firm, from M&A and Corporate, to Projects and Developments.
'The Australasian Law Awards recognise deals, teams and practitioners working on some of the largest and most complex transactions in the market. It is really pleasing to have the team's work singled out,' he said.
There were 33 categories in the awards program.
