Allens strengthens energy practice with appointment of new partner

Project Finance Property & Development

Allens has appointed Louis Chiam as a Partner in the firm's Projects and Development practice in Melbourne.

The appointment bolsters the firm's energy practice, following the appointment of partners Karla Drinkwater and Jacqui Rowell, and coinciding with the return of partner Melissa Keane to Melbourne from the firm's Hanoi office.

Louis has deep experience in energy, regulation, climate change and major projects and joins Allens from KWM where he was partner.

'We are excited to welcome Louis to the firm. He brings with him almost 25 years' experience working with a wide variety of clients on a range of projects and investments', said Emma Warren, Partner and Projects and Development practice group leader.

'Louis's practice has evolved alongside the transforming energy sector. We look forward to bringing his expertise to the firm's clients to capture new opportunities and respond to emerging challenges'.
