Allens boosts patents team with two senior hires

Allens has bolstered its experience in medical devices, quantum computing and renewable energy with the appointment of two experienced patent attorneys to its growing patents team.

Tracey Webb joins as Principal Patent Attorney with experience across physics, medical devices and ICT inventions, while Dr Pasquale Aliberti, an expert in pholtovoltaics, quantum computing and renewable energy, joins as a Senior Associate.

'The appointment of two such experienced practitioners is a particular boon for our engineering and ICT practice. Together with our life sciences patent team, our patent practice is going from strength to strength, with a wealth of experience and technical expertise and an uncompromising focus on the needs of our clients.'

Tracey brings more than 20 years' experience in patenting medical devices, software and computer inventions, with a particular focus on the mining and high tech sectors. She also has a strong background in obtaining, enforcing and advising clients on registered design rights.

Along with experience as a patent attorney, Pasquale has an academic background in electronics, nanotechnology, microelectronics, electrical engineering, and pholtovoltaic and renewable energy, including a PhD from UNSW.
