Louise is a litigation specialist who, since joining the firm in 1982, has worked on a range of commercial disputes for a list of blue chip clients. Recent matters have focused on project financing and property development, banking, mining and exploration, broadcasting, intellectual property and privatisation of government owned entities. She has worked on a number of claims arising out of foreign exchange loans, misappropriated funds and major corporate collapses.

In the International Business Obligations group, Louise has advised a range of clients on anti-corruption issues and been the partner responsible for investigating the consequences of an anti-corruption investigation involving a joint venture and a Middle Eastern government, including Australian and overseas regulatory implications.

She has conducted various anti-dumping disputes under the Australian Customs Act, including complaints, investigations, submissions preparation and litigation. She has advised clients on the tactical considerations in dealing with the Australian Customs Service and the merits of various classifications.

She has been a member of the Legal Profession Tribunal and the Executive Rules Committee of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and was a trustee of LawAid from 1997 until 2008.

Louise has been trained formally in Legal Project Management, most recently attending a full-day LPM workshop delivered by US legal project management expert Susan Raridon Lambreth. Louise's LPM expertise drives efficient legal and business outcomes for her clients.
