About Peter O'Donahoo
Peter is expert at undertaking large-scale, multi-jurisdictional disputes both in Australia and abroad. He has extensive experience in commercial disputes, class actions, constitutional litigation, products litigation, regulatory investigations and inquiries, arbitrations (commercial and investment treaty) and defamation/media related work.
For several years now, Peter has been ranked by Chambers Global as one of the leading litigators in Australia. In 2010, Peter was recognised as the 'Australian litigator of the year' at the International Law Office (Client Choice) Awards.
Peter has advised clients on and defended products claims concerning tobacco and other consumable products, pharmaceuticals, animal feed products, chemicals, motor vehicles, aerospace components, mobile telephones, alcoholic beverages and mechanical devices. Since 1997, Peter's expertise has been recognised in the International Who's Who of Product Liability Defence Lawyers. In 2013 and 2016, and again in 2019, Best Lawyers Australia named Peter 'Product Liability Lawyer of the Year', Melbourne.
In his role as relationship partner for several multi-national manufacturing clients, Peter has been involved in a number of 'think-tanks'. As a result he is well-versed in current thinking on emerging global litigation trends and dispute resolution law reform initiatives.
Peter is a past President of the National Product Liability Association, past Chairman of the Law Council of Australia's Media & Communications Committee, a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, and the International Bar Association.
Peter has also held, or holds, a number of positions at Allens. These include:

Peter has been trained formally in Legal Project Management, most recently attending a full-day LPM workshop delivered by US legal project management expert Susan Raridon Lambreth. Peter's LPM expertise drives efficient legal and business outcomes for his clients.
