In recent years, Dan has played a leading role in the development of documentation for various project delivery structures (including Early Contractor Involvement, Alliancing, Guaranteed Maximum Price, Multiple Stage Design and Construction and Construction Management). Dan also has extensive experience with facilities management and tendering issues (particularly in the government sector). He is also often asked by clients to provide standard documentation for use in their procurement of projects and outsourcing of services.
Dan's ability to add value to his clients, and his excellent negotiating, drafting and project management skills, have resulted in him playing a significant role in:
- several of Australia's major shopping centre developments and redevelopments for Queensland-based fund managers;
- the development of some of Australia's largest master-planned residential retail and community developments;
- the procurement of various infrastructure and major items of plant and equipment in the water, social infrastructure, transport, resources and manufacturing sectors; and
- numerous retail, commercial, residential and industrial property developments throughout Australia.
Dan is consistently named amongst Australia's 'Best Lawyers' in the Australian Financial Review's annual survey.
Dan regularly publishes and presents papers on his areas of expertise to the construction and other industries.
Dan is also the principal lecturer of the Queensland University of Technology Masters of Laws subject – Construction and Engineering Law.
