More from our team

My experience shaped the way I do business

Michelle Bennett, Partner

A particular career highlight for me was working overseas in Linklaters’ London office. I really enjoyed working on crossborder transactions and developing my deal experience and project management skills.

My experience working overseas has shaped the way I do business, by making me really adaptable and open-minded. It also made me realise that no matter where you are in the world, it’s really important to have strong relationships with clients and to work together to achieve solutions.

International, innovative and exciting

Christopher Kerrigan, Partner

I’m from the UK originally and trained at Linklaters in London. I also spent some time in the Moscow office of Linklaters and then eventually ended up in Australia. My experience means I can offer clients a perspective on global trends regarding why things in Australia are happening and what might happen in the future.

The experience I’ve had working in different parts of the firm and with Linklaters have all shaped the way that I operate as a litigator. In particular, the time I spent working in London on regulatory matters gave me great insight into the ways the world’s regulators are working and we’re now seeing some of those trends here.
