Allens advises Dampier Salt Limited on sale of Lake MacLeod Project

Allens has advised Dampier Salt Limited, a joint venture between Rio Tinto (68%), Marubeni Corporation (22%) and Sojitz (10%), on the proposed sale of the Lake MacLeod salt and gypsum operation in Carnarvon, Western Australia, to Leichardt Industrials Group for AUD $375 million.

'We are very pleased to have advised DSL on this significant transaction with Leichardt Industrials Group. This transaction builds on our longstanding relationship with both DSL and Rio Tinto, and we are delighted to have worked again with the Rio Tinto team. We look forward to supporting DSL through completion and congratulate them again for achieving this important milestone,' said lead Partner Jodi Reinmuth.

Completion of the sale is conditional on certain commercial and regulatory conditions being satisfied.
