Allens has advised Levana Renewables (Levanta), on its acquisition of an 80% interest in HBRE Gia Lai Wind Power Joint Stock Company, which owns and operates the 50MW HBRE Chu Prong Wind Farm in Gia Lai province, Vietnam.
The transaction represents a further inbound investment by Levanta into Vietnam’s renewable energy sector and expands its portfolio of operating wind assets in the country.
Allens advised on all Vietnam law aspects, including legal due diligence, transaction structuring, regulatory and foreign investment matters, transaction documentation and assistance through to closing.
‘This acquisition reflects sustained confidence in Vietnam’s long‑term renewable energy fundamentals and the continued appetite for de‑risked, operational assets, particularly in an evolving regulatory environment,' said lead partner Giles Cooper.
'While the market has experienced headwinds in recent years, we have seen an increase in M&A activity across renewable energy projects over the past six months, signalling a rebound in investor confidence.'
