About Alexandra Meade

Alexandra is a Managing Associate in Allens' Corporate team. She advises ASX-listed and international companies, boards and private capital investors on public and private M&A, equity capital markets transactions and strategic corporate transactions.

Alexandra has extensive experience advising clients in the resources and energy sectors. Her practice includes acquisitions and disposals, mergers and schemes, capital raisings, strategic investments, joint ventures and takeover preparedness and response as well as ongoing listed company advisory matters. She acts for clients ranging from emerging listed companies through to major resources and energy businesses across the full lifecycle of growth, investment and exit.

Having worked in both Perth and Sydney, and in private practice and in-house roles with Beach Energy and Amazon Web Services, Alexandra brings a practical commercial and operational perspective to strategic transactions and critical corporate events.

 Alexandra's recent experience includes advising:
  • Minerals 260: on its strategic funding agreement with Franco-Nevada Corporation, including a $50 million equity investment and $170 million royalty funding package.
  • GS Energy: on its acquisition of a 5% participating interest in the Browse Project.
  • Global Infrastructure Partners: on its US$2 billion acquisition of an interest in Woodside's Pluto LNG Train 2 project.
  • Santos: on the sale of a participating interest in PNG LNG to Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited.
  • Crestlink and Cerberus Capital Management: on the acquisition of the Koolan Island mining assets and associated infrastructure from MGX Resources.
  • Minerals 260: on its $220 million capital raising and ASX re-compliance listing undertaken in conjunction with the acquisition of the Bullabulling Gold Project from Norton Gold Fields.
  • Liontown Resources: on its $490 million institutional placement and SPP to fund the development of the Kathleen Valley Lithium Project and ongoing governance and strategic advisory matters.
  • New Century Resources: on takeover by Sibanye-Stillwater; private placement and accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer to restructure its debt and support the Century mine; and proposed acquisition of the Mount Lyell Copper Mine in Tasmania.
  • Broken Hill Mines: on its ASX re-compliance listing and capital raisings undertaken in connection with the acquisition of the Broken Hill Rasp and Pinnacles mines.
  • Macmahon Holdings: on its successful defence of an off-market takeover bid by CIMIC Group, including Takeovers Panel proceedings.
  • Sirius Resources and S2 Resources: on the scheme of arrangement under which Independence Group acquired Sirius Resources and the concurrent demerger transaction.
  • Various ASX-listed resources companies: including Western Areas, Northern Star Resources, Benz Mining, Podium Minerals, Victory Metals, Hastings Technology Metals and Northern Minerals, on equity capital raisings and corporate advisory matters.
  • Quadrant Private Equity and Quadrant Growth: on a range of acquisitions, investments and strategic transactions across portfolio companies including Adore Beauty, Quad Lock, Total Tools, GraysOnline, Darrell Lea, Timezone and Ardent's bowling and entertainment division.
