About Ngoc Nguyen

Ngoc is a Senior Associate with extensive experience in both Public and Private M&A, Private Equity and Capital Markets. She is particularly familiar with complex structured transactions and her expertise spans across a wide range of sectors, including technology, e-commerce, fintech, insurance, consumer, F&B, logistics, healthcare and education.

Ngoc obtained an LLB from the Faculty of Law of National Economics University of Vietnam and an MSc of Law and Finance from Queen Mary University of London, both with distinction. She is fluent in both Vietnamese and English.

Her recent experience includes advising:
  • Bain Capital: on its US$200m investment in convertible dividend preference shares issued by Masan Group Corporation: a leading Vietnamese conglomerate listed on HOSE
  • SK Group: on its divestment from Imexpharm, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer listed on HOSE and having State-owned capital
  • Singha: on its investments in Masan Consumer Holdings and Masan Brewery
  • Affirma Capital (previously Standard Chartered Private Equity): on all of its investments and divestments in Vietnam, including M-Service (operator of Momo e-wallet), NKid (operator of Tiniworld kid centres), Golden Gate (leading restaurant chain), Loc Troi Group (leading supplier of agriculture products) and Sieu Viet Group (operator of online job posting portals)
  • International Finance Corporation (IFC): on its various equity investments in Vietnam (including in the listed insurance company PVI Holdings, the convenient store chain GS25, and animal feed provider Mavin Group)
  • SeaTown Master Fund: on its joint equity investment in one of Vietnam's largest retail platforms and supermarket chain The CrownX: a subsidiary of Masan Group
