About Vincent Pang
Vincent is a Managing Associate in Allens' Corporate/M&A group. He specialises in advising private capital clients (private equity sponsors, superannuation and pension funds, fund managers and sovereign wealth funds) across a variety of sectors, including infrastructure and technology. He has a range of experience across private and public M&A transactions.
Vincent is also a FIRB specialist and has helped a number of private capital clients navigate Australia's complex foreign investment laws. He additionally spent 12 months on secondment at Linklaters Singapore in their equity debt markets and banking and finance departments.
Vincent’s recent experience includes advising:
- CPP Investments: on its $24bn acquisition alongside Blackstone of AirTrunk, a leading Asia Pacific data centre operator. This was the largest M&A deal in Australia in 2024
- NZ Super and Nuveen for TIAA: on the sale of their interests in Horizon Roads (Eastlink) to Future Fund
- Global Switch: on the $2.12bn sale of its Australian data centre operations to ASX-listed alternative asset manager, HMC Capital Limited
- AustralianSuper: on its acquisition of a 70% stake in Optus Towers for $1.9bn; on its acquisition (through its joint venture with Singtel, Indara) on its $3.58bn acquisition of Axicom; and on its investment in Syrah Resources Limited by way of convertible notes
- BGH Capital: on its take private of Virtus Health
- Bain Capital: on its proposed acquisition of Insignia Financial Limited
- Perpetual Limited: a bidder for the wealth management business of Perpetual Limited
- TA Associates: on its acquisition of BetaShares, a leading Australian fund manager specialising In exchange traded funds and its acquisition of Honan Insurance Group
- Paine Schwartz Partners-led consortium: on its acquisition (including FIRB approval) of Costa Group Holdings for an enterprise value of $2.459bn
- Vista Equity Partners: on its significant strategic investment in StarRez, a global leading provider of residential community and student housing software solutions
- Vocus: on its acquisition by MIRA and Aware Super by way of scheme of arrangement, with the transaction valuing Vocus at $4.5bn
- IFM Investors: on its acquisition of PRP Diagnostic Imaging
- Experian plc: on its $820m acquisition of illion from Archer Capital
- Bapcor: on the takeover approach by Bain Capital
- QAF: SGX listed QAF Ltd on the sale of its Australian primary production businesses Rivalea Australia and Oxdale Dairy to JBS.
