About Jodi Reinmuth
Jodi is a specialist with deep expertise across mining, energy and major resources infrastructure projects. She partners closely with clients on project development, complex resource sector M&A, and on the establishment, operation and evolution of joint venture relationships.
She is widely recognised for her unrivalled experience advising on, negotiating and modernising State Agreements in Western Australia, acting on many of the state’s most significant and long‑running resource projects.

Mining
- Rio Tinto Limited: advising on:
- a joint venture with Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd to deliver the Winu copper-gold project
- a joint venture with Water Corporation for the development of a desalination facility in Dampier, WA
- the sale of the Lake McLeod salt and gypsum operation in WA to Leichardt Industrials Group
- joint arrangements with BHP for cross boundary mining of the Yandi Mundagoo pillar
- the modernisation of a 50:50 joint venture with Wright Prospecting Pty Ltd for the greenfields Rhodes Ridge project (including sales and marketing arrangements and modernisation of the Rhodes Ridge State Agreement, and on the subsequent sell down by Wright Prospecting to Mitsui & Co
- the Simandou iron ore project in Guinea, advising on Rio Tinto's joint venture relationship with Chinalco
- formation of Pilbara Iron, an infrastructure operator and manager, between Rio Tinto and its joint venture partners, Nippon Steel, Mitsui & Co and Sumitomo Metals, and on associated expansions in the Pilbara.
- Sumitomo Corporation: advising on its joint venture investment with Tivan Limited in the Speewah fluorite project in the Kimberley, WA
- Triple Flag Precious Metals Corp: advising on its US$550 million metal stream acquisition from China Molybdenum to receive gold and silver from the Northparkes mine (NSW)
- Core Lithium: advising on the development of its Finniss lithium project
- Grange Resources: advising on project development for a greenfields project near Albany WA
- Premier Coal: long-term strategic adviser on its coal operations in Collie WA
- Newmont: advising on its Boddington gold operations
- Newcrest Mining: advising on the sale of its Telfer mining operation to Greatland Gold.
Energy
- Woodside: assisting in its role as first mover in seeking access to the NWIS network to supply electricity from its sponsored solar facility at the Maitland estate to the Pluto facility at the Burrup
- Pacific Blue: advising on its hydro electricity facility in the Ord region
- Perth Airport: advising on its energy supply arrangements with Perth Energy and behind the meter tenant solar PPAs for the Perth Airport industrial estate
- Bluewaters Power: long term strategic adviser on coal supply, power purchase agreements and regulatory interface
- Enel: advising on its proposed investment in the Flat Rocks Wind farm
- Macquarie: advising on its acquisition of the Kwinana waste to energy project in WA, in joint venture with the Dutch Infrastructure Fund
