  • Coles: defending Coles in the ACCC proceeding and related class action that allege misleading representations concerning aspects of Coles' Down Down Program
  • Epic Games: two Federal Court proceedings against Apple and Google alleging misuse of market power and other anti-competitive conduct in mobile app distribution and in-app payment systems. Australia's first big tech antitrust litigation, involving complex expert evidence across technology, security, payments, antitrust economics, econometrics, behavioural economics and forensic accounting. 16-week trial with two related class actions
  • Ford Australia 'Powershift' class action: defending Ford Australia in the Federal Court class action which seeks compensation for allegedly defective transmissions in certain Ford vehicles
  • Walton Constructions class action: defending National Australian Bank in a class action brought by sub-contractors of the Walton Construction group seeking compensation for alleged unconscionable conduct and other equitable claims
  • ANZ: acting on behalf of ANZ in relation to numerous strategic and reputational issues, including ACCC and ASIC regulatory investigations, proceedings and prosecutions
  • Energy sector disputes:
    • defending Origin Energy in two proceedings brought by the Essential Services Commission alleging breaches of Victoria's energy rules concerning billing obligations and obligations owed to life support customers and customers subject to payment difficulty framework arrangements
    • acting for Hornsdale Wind Farm in defending the Australian Energy Regulator's civil penalty proceedings concerning the 2016 South Australian blackouts.
