The best lawyers need the best support network.

Allens Arthur Robinson employs approximately 800 corporate services staff, including secretaries and WP operators.

We recruit trainees, as well as specialists who have worked within the legal sector or in other industries. A number of our corporate services staff are successful lawyers who have decided on a change of career and have been able to achieve this by changing roles within Allens.

We are committed to the ongoing training and development of all our corporate services staff.

Corporate services departments

There are six corporate services departments:

Applied Legal Technology

Discovery and due diligence for managing document intensive matters efficiently.

Business & Technology Services

Business & Technology Services cover these key areas:

  • Business Services - mail, fax, records management, document production, stationery, premises management & maintenance, reception, switchboard, conference coordination, catering and related services.
  • Technology Services - helpdesk, systems operations, applications construction and support, equipment supply and maintenance and comprehensive training on all aspects of the firms systems.
  • Secretarial Services - resources and support for secretaries and WPO staff.
Finance

Finance encompasses payroll, credit control, financial and management reporting as well as systems accounting.

People & Development

The People & Development (P&D) department provides strategic and operational human resources business advice to its clients, who are all employees and partners of Allens Arthur Robinson.

The vision of the P&D department is to play an integral role in leading the firm to achieve its people vision through the delivery of strategic resourcing, commercial advice and innovative solutions. The department aims to create a rewarding and supportive work environment that underpins the firm's values where there are outstanding levels of achievement, energy, career development and opportunity and where people are inspired to do their best every day.

Knowledge Services

Our Knowledge Services department incorporates two distinct areas:

  • Knowledge Management - harnessing and developing the firm's intellectual capital and championing a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Library Services - we have some of the best law libraries in Australia.
Marketing and Client Services

Our Marketing and Client Services team works with our lawyers to build successful and long-lasting relationships with our clients and to identify business development opportunities.

They are responsible for branding, media relations, producing a wide range of printed material, developing web resources, managing client events and providing general marketing expertise.
