Workplace relations

In today's highly competitive business environment the successful management of workplace relations has a significant impact on an organisation's reputation and performance. In addition, it is vital that an organisation ensures that its human resources policies and procedures reflect recent changes to Australia's workplace relations laws in order to avoid potential pitfalls and adverse publicity.

The effective management of employment, industrial relations, occupational health and safety, and discrimination law are key issues for all organisations at every stage of the employment relationship.

Allens Arthur Robinson's workplace relations team works closely with its clients to ensure that their human resources policies and procedures balance `best practice' with their business objectives.

We offer our clients workplace visits to advise on potential health and safety risks (including personal liability for directors and corporate officers). We can also review existing documentation and assist you in drafting policies and procedures.

As trained and accredited mediators, we can also negotiate logs of claims and pursue all avenues of arbitration in dealing with strikes, bans and picket lines. However, where litigation is unavoidable, our experienced lawyers act promptly to defend clients' interests in court.
