Allens has advised private equity firm TA Associates on its 50% acquisition of Craig Investment Partners, one of New Zealand's largest wealth managers.
Alongside Chapman Tripp, Allens advised on all aspects of the transaction.
'This acquisition continues a wave of M&A activity in the wealth management sector in our region and demonstrates the continued growth of New Zealand's wealth industry,' said lead Partner Kounny Rattley.
'We congratulate TA Associates on its investment, and look forward to seeing Craig Investment Partners continue its strong performance with the benefit of their partnership.
'Looking forward, we expect financial sponsor activity will continue to lift in 2025 as private equity investment conditions improve.'
Allens is a leading adviser in financial services and wealth management M&A, having recently advised LGT Crestone on its acquisition of Commonwealth Private Advice and Pacific Equity Partners' investment in FirstCape.
The transaction continues Allens' support for TA Associates in the APAC region, with the firm having recently also advised TA Associates on its sale of Honan Insurance.
