David Donnelly, Partner and Projects Practice Lead, and Michael Ryan, Partner and Head of Project Finance, led a cross-practice team that has advised the financier group on the Melbourne Metro Tunnel project since 2016.

David Donnelly also led the Allens team that advised NRT on the delivery of Sydney Metro, which has transformed Sydney since the opening in 2024 of the Sydney Metro City line. The impact of the Metro Tunnel project on Melbourne is expected to be equally city-shaping.
