Allens has advised ConnectEast on the $1.275 billion refinancing arrangements for the EastLink, the longest tollway in Victoria, connecting the Eastern Freeway to Peninsula Link and Frankston Freeway.
The EastLink toll road is a significant piece of transport infrastructure in Victoria, supporting key commuter and freight connections across Melbourne, and the refinancing debt is being used to refinance a combination of senior facilities and debt capital markets funding.
'This refinancing builds on our longstanding work on EastLink and reflects our continued relationship with ConnectEast on this important asset. It also demonstrates the ability of large infrastructure asset owners to tap into different pools of capital to service ongoing requirements,' said Partner Lisa Zhou.
Allens has extensive experience advising on complex infrastructure and transport assets, including toll roads and tunnel projects.
