Alex specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She has had significant experience and developed expertise in the management of large-scale commercial disputes, with a particular focus on class actions, tax disputes and other regulatory matters. Alex also has extensive experience in the area of coronial proceedings, discrimination claims and general commercial disputes, including contractual claims.

Alex acts for both corporate and government clients and has acted for some of the firm's most significant clients, including Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited, BHP Billiton Limited, Philip Morris Limited and Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Limited.

Before joining Allens in 1996, Alex worked as a journalist with The Herald & Weekly Times, and has experience in defamation law and related media work and freedom of information issues.

Between 2001 and 2005, Alex worked with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London, where, among other things, she acted for the Bank of England in its defence of a claim for misfeasance in public office commenced by the liquidators of the failed Bank of Credit and Commerce.

As well as being an Australian legal practitioner, Alex is admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales.
