Anna has more than 20 years' experience in the energy sector. She has extensive industry knowledge developed through a broad range of work for government, industry participants and key market institutions.

Anna has advised on privatisations, acquisitions, disposals, partnerships, joint ventures and major projects in the energy and resources sectors, with particular expertise in renewables. She is part of the Allens team advising NSW Treasury on the privatisation of the NSW network assets and previously advised on the Queensland retail privatisations and the South Australian electricity privatisations. Anna was also recently part of the team that advised State Grid on its acquisition of interests in Singapore Power's network assets in Australia.

In the renewables space, Anna's experience includes advising AGL Energy on the restructure, financing and disposal of its interest in the Macarthur wind farm, the largest operating wind farm in Australia. Anna had previously advised Meridian Energy on all aspects of the development of this wind farm. Anna's other project work includes advising the Victorian Government on its current renewable energy initiative and advising the proponents or financiers of a range of renewable energy projects.

Anna's recent energy reform work has included advising the Australian Energy Market Commission on the introduction of competition in metering, the largest single rule change undertaken by the AEMC to date. Anna has advised the Council of Australian Governments energy council on significant reform, including the development of the national energy customer framework. She has also advised State Governments on reforms as part of their privatisation programs and separate initiatives, including advising the Victorian Government on the introduction of full retail competition and the roll out of smart meters in Victoria.

Anna's reform work also spans the transport and water sectors. She has advised the Victorian Department of Transport and the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment on major legislative and reform projects. Significant legislative projects have included the development of the Transport Integration Act 2010 and the legislation to establish a new Public Transport Development Authority in 2011.

Anna is a member of Allens' Executive Committee. She has previously held roles as sector leader for Power & Utilities and served on the Allens Board.

Anna has been trained formally in Legal Project Management, most recently attending a full-day LPM workshop delivered by US legal project management expert Susan Raridon Lambreth. Anna's LPM expertise drives efficient legal and business outcomes for her clients.
