Geoff has more than 25 years of experience as a partner at Allens.
He regularly advises in relation to complex disputes around the country and in South East Asia. He is admitted in all jurisdictions in Australia and regularly appears in domestic and international arbitrations. Some of his recent matters include mining and oil and gas disputes in the Philippines and in Papua New Guinea, claims against valuers by major trading banks and high profile joint venture disputes.
Geoff has been active in the insolvency space since 1984 and has acted in many high profile matters both for Banks and for insolvency practitioners. Some of those matters include Cubbie Station, the Lane Cove Tunnel, MFS and the Raptis Group. Geoff also regularly advises directors in relation to insolvency issues including workouts.
Geoff has a particular interest in competition law and in addition to acting in competition disputes, regularly advises the firm's corporate and government clients on competition issues involving acquisitions and anti-competitive conduct.
Geoff has been ranked in Chambers Global and Best Lawyers on numerous occasions in the past decade.
Geoff has been trained formally in Legal Project Management, most recently attending a full-day LPM workshop delivered by US legal project management expert Susan Raridon Lambreth. Geoff's LPM expertise drives efficient legal and business outcomes for his clients.
