Allens has again cemented its position as the leading project finance legal adviser in the Asia Pacific region, topping the APAC Infralogic rankings for 2025. The firm also ranked in the top 20 legal advisers globally.
In 2025, the Allens project finance team supported clients on more than 30 transactions across the region, with a combined deal value of US$17.35 billion, including advising:
- financiers for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone;
- lenders on Foresight's $700m renewable energy portfolio financing;
- lenders to Mission Australia on Toowoomba social housing project;
- lenders on the $3.1 billion Intellihub refinancing;
- lenders on Australia's largest standalone BESS financing; and
- Pacific Energy on its $2 billion refinancing and equity raise.
'We’re delighted to be recognised as APAC’s leading project finance adviser. Our ranking reflects the trust clients place in us for their largest and most complex projects. The fact that we have worked on projects across multiple sectors from large‑scale energy, transport infrastructure, digital infrastructure, mining and natural resources sectors demonstrates the breadth and depth of our team in the Asia Pacific region,' said Partner and Head of Project Finance Michael Ryan.
This strong result reflects Allens’ continued leadership in major infrastructure, energy, renewables and resources transactions, and its deep involvement across greenfield, refinancing and acquisition‑finance mandates across those sectors throughout the region.
