Allens has announced the appointment of five new Partners from 1 July 2015.

The five Partners are:

  • Jo Folan, Banking & Finance, Sydney
  • John Hedge, Energy & Resources, Brisbane

The latest appointments follow recent promotions to partnership of Veronica Siow (Workplace Relations, Sydney) and Nicholas Ng (Construction & Major Projects, Brisbane).

Allens Chairman Ian Wallace congratulated the new Partners on their promotion.

'These appointments reflect our continued commitment to bringing new people into our partnership who have shown the ability to work alongside clients to help them grow their business and also to play leadership roles within the firm,' Ian said.

'They are all market-leading lawyers who have significant impact with their clients, their teams and across our firm. Their appointment to partnership is an important career milestone and recognition of their contributions.'

Ian said that the appointments were focused on key areas of growth for the firm.

'We have very strong teams in Banking & Finance, Energy & Resources, M&A and Capital Markets and Litigation, but we believe it is very important to continue to add to those strengths by continuing to promote talented lawyers who have shown great business and leadership acumen.'
