About Benjamin Downie
Benjamin specialises in securitisation, structured finance and debt capital markets and has acted on a range of award winning and first transactions.
He has worked for originators, issuers, arrangers, dealers, trustees and security trustees in connection with a broad variety of securitisation programmes and structured transactions in the Australian, euro and US bond and commercial paper markets.
His experience also extends to receivables financing, secured asset backed lending structures, structured commodity and inventory facilities and other debt capital markets transactions.
Benjamin's recent experience includes:
- advising Cerberus and Angle Finance on the acquisition and financing of the Westpac auto finance business, the stand-up of Angle Auto Finance and its ongoing warehouse funding;
- advising Cerberus and Angle Finance on the acquisition and financing of the Westpac equipment finance business and its ongoing warehouse funding; and
- various master trust establishments and warehouse financing and risk retention arrangements across a range of asset classes for both originators and senior and mezzanine financiers.
