About Jessica Mottau
Jessica is a Partner in Allens' Technology, Media and Telecommunications group, with extensive experience structuring and negotiating complex and bespoke commercial arrangements.
Jessica's practice includes advising on:
- major procurements, business process outsourcings and services agreements;
- complex digital infrastructure and telecommunications projects;
- adoption of AI, facial-recognition and other emerging technologies;
- technology development, collaboration and licensing arrangements;
- complex data sharing, exploitation and commercialisation agreements;
- business separation and transition arrangements, typically in connection with corporate carveouts; and
- privacy and Spam Act compliance.
Jessica draws on her experience handling complex and high-stakes digital transformation projects to provide practical and commercially driven counsel. She has a deep understanding of emerging technologies and their legal implications, allowing her clients to stay ahead of industry trends while mitigating risks associated with technology adoption and implementation. Through her experience negotiating opposite most of the big technology vendors, Jessica knows how to negotiate the best deal for her clients and anticipate potential challenges before they arise.
Jessica's clients include leading corporations and technology companies such as BHP, Stockland, TikTok, TPG, WeWork, Globalstar, Westpac, THE ICONIC, BAI Communications, Arnott's, University of Technology Sydney, oOh!media and Brookfield.
Jessica is the Sydney office Staff Partner at Allens and a member of the Women at Allens committee.
Prior to joining Allens Jessica worked at Latham & Watkins in New York. Jessica is admitted to practice in both New South Wales and New York.
