Nicola is an experienced litigation lawyer. She has acted in a wide range of commercial litigation with a particular focus on product liability, arbitration and banking litigation. She provides a big picture view for her clients, advising on strategy and negotiations.

Nicola has run complex litigation both at first instance and on appeal including James Hardie asbestos test cases. Her biochemistry training enables her to quickly understand medical and scientific documents and evidence. She has found this especially useful not just in product liability matters but also in other matters where she has acted for pharmaceutical companies. In recent years she has advised a number of clients on document retention policies which may assist them in better managing litigation should it arise.

Nicola has completed formal training with LEADR in mediation and holds a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She advises, prepares and assists clients in mediations and arbitrations. She has also been involved in litigation relating to the interpretation of arbitration clauses. Nicola is a member of the Australasian Forum for International Arbitration.
