Diccon is also brought into transactions to assist other partners in structuring transactions and in handling complex legal and commercial issues.
Diccon's many recent financing transactions include syndicated financings and domestic and international bond issues, plus the recent Alinta Energy restructuring, 'loan to own' transactionand purchases of distressed loan books.
Diccon has a reputation for quality, plain English drafting. He drafted standard form, plain English documentation for banks.
Diccon is recognised in Chambers Asia Pacific 2012 as a 'leading lawyer'. He is a senior and highly respected member of the banking and finance team. A significant part of his work is centred around corporate financing.
His finance industry participation includes his role as lawyer for the Australian branch of the Asia-Pacific Loan Market Association. He is a past president and current board member of the Banking and Financial Services Law Association. He lectures part-time on negative pledges and guarantees in the LLM Corporate Finance course at Sydney University.
