14 March 2012

Allens Arthur Robinson (Allens) has been awarded the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency's Employer of Choice for Women citation for the eighth year in a row.

Allens was one of 125 organisations awarded the citation, which is given to non-government organisations with more than 100 employees that have policies and practices supporting women across the organisation.

Allens Executive Partner Maryjane Crabtree said this eighth consecutive citation is evidence of the effective work being done to promote the development and advancement of women within in the firm.

'We realise there is still a lot of work to be done in this area but we are pleased to be continually increasing our support and development of talented women within the firm,' Ms Crabtree said.

Director of People & Development Jane Lewis said the firm is determined to follow best practice when it comes to providing a suitable workplace environment for women to thrive.

'We are very supportive of EOWA's continued leadership on gender diversity and the more rigorous assessment process they have implemented over the last couple of years,' Ms Lewis said.
