About George Salter
George is an energy and resources specialist, with a focus on transactions and projects in the energy and natural resources sectors. George routinely advises on project development, M&A, joint ventures, commodity sales and marketing, and general commercial advisory matters, with a particular focus on oil & gas, LNG and mining.
George has also acted on a number of offshore wind and CCS developments, both in Australia and internationally.
Recent examples of George’s relevant experience include advising:
- Woodside – in respect of its LNG sale and purchase arrangements, including advising Woodside Energy Trading Singapore Pte Ltd on its entry into two LNG sale and purchase agreements with Commonwealth LNG.
- Rio Tinto – on numerous matters related to the development and operation of certain of its international and domestic iron ore projects.
- ExxonMobil – in respect of certain aspects of its LNG operations in Papua New Guinea.
- Equinor – on its collaboration with Nexsphere in relation to the Bass Offshore Wind Energy Project.
- Global Infrastructure Partners – on its acquisition of a 49% stake in Pluto Train 2 from Woodside.
