Allens has advised Woodside Energy Trading Singapore Pte Ltd on its entry into two LNG sale and purchase agreements with Commonwealth LNG from Commonwealth’s LNG export facility under development in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, USA.
Allens has worked with Woodside on a number of its local and international LNG SPAs. 'We are very pleased to have advised Woodside on this significant transaction with Commonwealth LNG. This transaction comes at a time of increasing demand for LNG in international markets, and gives Woodside long term supply from the Atlantic basin. The SPAs remain subject to satisfaction of customary conditions, including the project achieving FID.
