Allens has advised Goldwind on its sale of 49 per cent of Moorabool Wind Farm to Nebras Power.

Located in Victoria, the Moorabool Wind Farm will comprise up to 104 wind turbines which can produce up to 312MW - enough to power the equivalent of 228,000 average Victorian homes each year.

'We are pleased to have advised longstanding client Goldwind on this sale,' said lead Partner Jeremy Low.

'Despite softening activity across global M&A markets, energy transition assets have proved enduringly popular throughout 2022. That trend shows no sign of abating, and we expect to see the deal activity in this space to continue into the new year as global energy transition efforts ramp up.'

The deal closes out a busy year for energy transition assets at Allens, with the firm having recently advised Igneo Infrastructure Partners on the acquisition of Elliott Green Power Australia, Green Peak Energy on its investment by CBRE Investment Management, and Equinor on its offshore wind transaction with Oceanex Energy.
